University of Medan Area (UMA) Successfully Entered the National Big 30 in the Greenmetric UI rank 505 for the international level of the field, intellectual in its official release, the University of Indonesia GreenMetric World University Ranking assessment committee announced the universities that had achieved the highest scores in the UI GreenMetric assessment. In the announcement, Medan Area University succeeded in being ranked 29th for the national level and ranking 505 for the international level.
UI GreenMatric World University Ranking is an assessment for campuses around the world initiated by the University of Indonesia and followed by major campuses around the world. It is not easy to enter this assessment, let alone to occupy a prestigious ranking because the assessment is quite strict and through a process that must be passed. The assessment committee will evaluate competing campuses through various criteria, including: Sealing and infrastructure (15%), Energy (21%), Waste (18%), Water (10%), Transportation (18%), and Education (18%) ). The things assessed from the various criteria are how the management of each of the above elements is managed in relation to environmental issues and saving on energy.
The release also listed several other universities that were ranked nationally and internationally. The universities are: USU ranked 11th in the National and 234th in the international level, Unimed ranked 18th in the National and 389th in the international. Other universities are UINSU (609), UNSRI (522), Malang State University (568), and Padang State University (590).
